Below are 3 simple strategies that you can use to attract more customers.

Strategy #1 – Educate
Zig Ziglar, used to say, “People buy on emotion and justify on logic.”
People are usually compelled by emotions to buy, but to actually make a purchase, our conscious minds will try to justify that buying the product is a logical one.
So to help people find reason or rationality to act and make that purchase is to educate them.
Here are 3 things you can do to educate your customers:
1. Review
A review is not just talking about the specs of a product but emphasizing the actual benefits of the specs.
For example, you are trying to sell a camera or a cellphone with camera with great photo capturing features.
You don’t simply tell your target customers that the product has a spec of 2000 ISO, f/4 to f/2 open aperture and 500 shutter speed.
Not only you are talking jargons but these words don’t make sense to people who are unfamiliar with them.
Instead, you can add that these specs allows you to ‘take clear pictures during night time when it’s dark or there is less light’.
Here’s another example.
Let’s say you are reviewing a product with collagen.
Don’t just talk about the ingredient like, ‘Collagen is a protein responsible for healthy joints and skin elasticity, or stretchiness’.
Instead, tell your audience what it actually means and that is, ‘it reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles making you look younger and more radiant’.

2. Tutorial and How-To
As the words imply, you can either film a video tutorial or create a step-by-step guide that your viewers can follow.
For camera shy people, a video tutorial may sound stressful.
You don’t need to worry because there a lot of ways you can do tutorial without showing your faces.
I have watched videos on YouTube that only shows either their hands or from neck downwards and the videos came out totally fine and still entertaining.
But if you still don’t have the courage to be on a video, then you can simply create a step-by-step guide in a form of texts or infographics like the one below.

3. Training
Webinars and workshops are popular training methods.
People are now used to work from home which made online trainings very appealing.
And like a tutorial video, you can keep your face away from camera and create a training without you on the video.
I have taken multiple courses and programs online that only shows presentation slides with voice overs.

Strategy #2 – Engage
People love a good entertainment and this is a sure way to attract more customers to your business.

Another way you can get customers engaged is by doing giveaways.
Giveaways can be physical or digital.
Physical giveaways are shipped to the customers by filling out a form to provide an address where to send and often times the customers pay for the shipping fee.
Digital giveaways like eBooks, guides, and cheat sheets can easily be downloaded through a web link.
The best part of doing quiz, surveys and giveaways are they often require an email or any form of contact details from the customer.
Of course, because you need a way to send them the giveaway, but being able to collect contact details from your customers allows you to do follow ups or reach out to them over and over when you have more offers in the future.

Strategy #3 – Inspire
One of the easiest ways to attract customers is to inspire them.
You can do this by sharing success stories from your or other’s experiences.
Or showing a behind-the-scene footage of what you and your team are doing in your business.
People are naturally curious so they tend to snoop around.
And when they do, they usually check out your social media photo section.
According to studies, the hot spots of your social media page are the About and Photo sections.
So, it is definitely a must to show people images that feed their curiosity.
Another simple way to inspire your viewers is to provide them with nuggets of wisdom.
Motivational quotes may be too simple as a content to post, but they are usually the type of content that gets high reach and engagements.
This is because people can easily relate to words, especially words that are based on experience that your viewers are also experiencing right at that moment.
Sharing words of wisdom also gives your viewers a feeling that you are someone who is knowledgeable and experienced, and this builds you as an authority to look up to.

One last thing to bear in mind, attraction marketing is a proven effective way for long-term success, but you must be willing to put in the effort and actually do the work.
Educate-Engage-Inspire your target customers consistently.
You might find the traction slow at first, but once you gain the momentum, your business will keep on rolling for years to come.
