I always wanted to put up my own business. But I am just an ordinary person and I do not have (nor my parents) have a deep pocket to finance a costly start-up. So I did my research on what is the best business that suits me and my budget.

And then I stumbled upon this idea on the internet – Online Business.

Of course! Why not.

People are already spending hours browsing the internet. Hence, the worldwideweb is a good place to build a business.

But then, something concerned me. Since my knowledge is more into traditional business, I have no idea if Online Business will work and if it will cost me a lot to start.

So, I did my research, and I tell you, No Need to Worry (or Scared) to venture on doing business online.

Here are the 3 Overrated Myths that I found out when I did my online business.

Myth #1
Online Business is Expensive

Startup for an Online Business is not expensive. And I can assure you that your latest iPhone model is More Expensive than starting an online business.

I am the type of person who would not let go of my money for impractical purposes. I am frugal, but I am not a cheapskate (there is a difference). But in terms of money, I would rather buy items based on functionality rather than style. A $10 watch that shows the same time as a Rolex watch would be my choice no second thoughts.

So when I started my own business, I carefully did my research on which business I can be profitable but with less costs. And doing online business sure tops my list.

Myth #2
You Need to be Popular to Attract Buyers

This is completely Untrue.
People buy things for a reason. People buy things ‘Repeatedly’ because it helped resolve their problems.

Now, you might know something that other people do not. You might know a product that can solve other people’s problems, and they are not aware that this product exists. And this is where you come in.

It is even a plus if you have used or know someone who used the product and have experienced that it works, because you have an actual proof to back the product you are selling.

I am not a celebrity myself, but what I have is the knowledge and testimonials that speak how awesome my products and my business are. And those are the only things I needed to build my business successfully online.

Myth #3
You Need to be Techy

This is another False perception.

Here’s the reality…

If you can use a phone, then you are good to go.
If you can use Facebook, then you already have the edge to having a successful online business.

Even if there are thousands of apps out there that looks scary when seeing for the first time, they are all developed to be user-friendly with a push of a button.

So there is really no excuse to not be able to do online business.
The heck… the person who introduced me to this business is a 60-year old lady and she is rocking this business like a rock star.

You might be thinking now, ‘if a senior lady can smash it online, then so can I’.
And oh yeah! You-Are-Absolutely-Right!
